Is Ujersey a Legit Store Selling Original Jerseys?

By Samantha Aug12,2024

Did you come across Ads for NFL jerseys by Ujersey on social media? You must be wondering if the jerseys are worth the price or if there’s a likelihood of being scammed by UjerseyShop. Well, while the low price makes the jerseys a great purchase, the online store has some suspicious drawbacks. Here’s what you should know;

What You Should Know Before Shopping From Ujersey Store

Unethical Business Practices

The brand ‘Ujersey’ has multiple websites; Ujersey.store, Ujerseyshop.com, ujersey.shop, ujerseystore.com, u-jerseyshop.com, u-jersey.vip e.t.c. While this doesn’t necessarily make it a ‘scam’, it is quite common with fraudulent online businesses. Once one website is reported for fraud, it’s quickly shut down, and the scammers continue their con on the other websites. Could this be the case of Ujersey? This calls for scrutiny.

No Business Address

On all the brand’s websites there are no address listed anywhere even though the store targets customers in US and UK using sponsored Ads on TikTok, Facebook, e.t.c

Inferior Sublimation Jerseys

On Reddit.com, a user has left a review of Ujersey product calling the jersey ‘inferior’ and not worth the $40 he paid for it.

Was being constantly spammed by adverts on tik tok from ujersey and discovered they had my home club Austin FC armadillo kit so I was like WHY NOT? It’s hard to find that kit on the other sites so I went for it. This shit was below swap meet levels of quality 🤦🏽‍♂️

Badge was wrong Colors were WAY off (forest green/white) No neck nape motto Everything pressed on instead of stiched

Just terrible. They offered $15 back out of $40

Recently launched Store

According to who.is (a website domain checker) Ujersey websites were registered July 2024. This means the brand hasn’t been operating for long, and as such lacks reputation.

Poor Customer Support

Customers can only contact the store on WhatsApp via +1 5852154577 or email [email protected]. There’s no active phone number with which to call the store, neither is there a walk-in store.

Is Ujersey Store Selling Original Jerseys?

No, Ujersey isn’t selling original jerseys but reps. The jersey is sublimated; the logos, decals, etc are embedded into the shirt and not heat pressed or stitched. This isn’t a good value for $40. There are quality reps for $15, see JJsport.

What To Do If You Got Scammed

Cancel your credit card

Immediately call your financial provider and cancel your credit card. By so doing, the credit card details you used for your transaction would become null and void.

Request for a new card

After the old credit card has been cancelled, ask for a new card, it doesn’t cost much to get one.Your credit card issuer will issue you a new one with different numbers.

Report the Fraud To Relevant Authorities

Report the scam to relevant authorities and organizations. This includes:

  • Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3): If you are in the United States, you can file a complaint with the IC3 at https://www.ic3.gov/.
  • Your Local Consumer Protection Agency: Contact your local consumer protection agency or the equivalent regulatory body in your country.
  • Better Business Bureau (BBB): File a complaint with the BBB if the online store is based in the United States.

How To Protect Yourself From Online Shopping Scams

  • Check how long the website has been functioning – The domain age of a website tells a lot about a store’s legitimacy or transparency. Websites below 6 months old are often considered unsafe. You can find out a website’s age by checking on Who.is ( a free domain checker tool)
  • When using retail websites, find out exactly who you are dealing with. Research the retailer address by copying and pasting it on your browser. Does it really exist? is the retailer registered in the address or is the address that of a family home?
  • When making online payments, use secure payment service. Look for a URL starting with “https” and a closed padlock symbol, or a payment provider such as PayPal. If the padlock symbol doesn’t appear near the website’s URL, then it means your personal and financial information is at risk at the store.
  • Avoid Too Good to be true Discounts – any product sold at very cheap prices compared to other online stores should be treated with caution. Low prices are baits scammers use to lure unsuspecting victims
  • Check for reviews Online – Are there reviews or posts about the online store online? By searching for reviews online you could also come across warning posts or complaints.
