- Recently created – Who.is (a website checker tool) show Augoed.com was launched on 19th December 2023 in HongKong by an anonymous person who kept his information redacted for privacy.
- Absence of Business Address – There’s no physical address mentioned on Augoed.com. On social media the store creates an impression that it’s a US based store but its website registration details reveal it operates from Wuhan China.
- No active customer support – The website has just one means of contact – [email protected]. Interestingly, emails sent to the address were not replied.
- Copied Content and Legal Pages – Most of the content shown on the website were stolen off other websites.

The scam falls into the category of bait and switch scam. Augoed.com advertises quality shirts with tempting discounts but delivers a cheap inferior or different item when orders are placed. It could be different cloth texture, a miniature item instead of the advertised large size, a total different cloth design and color, etc.

I would advise against using this website. I ordered the ‘Waffle House’ t shirt. The shirt arrived with a cheap iron-on picture, Waffle House was spelled ‘Wafle House’, and the pictures on their website that clearly show it is Comfort Colors is untrue. It’s a cheap cotton t shirt that has no logo. When I reached out to the company and asked for another shirt with the correct spelling, their counter offer was a 10% refund even after acknowledging they were at fault
Aside from the inferior item received, victims of this scam could be affected by the following frauds;

Cancel your credit card
Immediately call your financial provider and cancel your credit card. By so doing, the credit card details you used for your transaction would become null and void.
