By maria Oct9,2024

Did you come across the Cyperus Rotundus oil? This product claims to serve as a natural alternative to artificial hair removal methods but does it work? I tried this product for 3 weeks and here’s what I think.

About The Cyperus Rotundus Oil

The Cyperus Rotundus oil claims to slow down hair growth and also take care of your skin by keeping it soft and healthy. The manufacturers claim that regular application leads to less frequent regrowth. It is taken from the Cyperus rotundus plant, which is commonly known as “nut grass.”

Ingredients

Nut Grass (Cyperus Rotundus) Dry rhizome. Origin: Mongolia. Menstruum: Alcohol, vegetable glycerin, crystal clear water. Contains NO: GMO, gluten, artificial colors, heavy metals, preservatives, pesticides, fertilizers.

My Experience Using The Cyperus Rotundus Oil

I bought Cyperus rotundus oil from Amazon for $14.99. It arrived 5 days and I have been using it on my underarms. I used to shave every two days, but now I only shave about once a week, and there’s hardly any hair growth left.

I feel like I could go for about four weeks now between shaves, which is a big change from before. I’m curious to see how long the results will last or if I’ll need to keep applying it forever, but so far, it’s been working well.

Pros

  1. It’s available in lots of online platform

Cons

  1. It Is not a permanent hair removal solution
  2. There are side effects
  3. The oil is very pricey

Are There Side Effects

There’s a possibility of skin irritation. Oils like Cyperus Oil can sometimes cause reactions or make the skin itchy for certain people, especially if applied straight to the skin.

How To Use

  1. Put a small amount on the area you want.
  2. Gently massage it into your skin.
  3. Wait until your skin absorbs it.

Does Cyperus rotundus oil Reduce Hair Growth?

There’s not a lot of strong scientific proof that this oil works. In skin application; Cyperus rotundus oil can minimize hair growth. The flavonoids contained in the oil inhibit the male hormones related to excessive hair growth. Nevertheless, few publications are available that describe the effects of this oil and do not compare it with known medical practices, such as laser epilating.
