Dinogo.com Review: Legit or Scam Hotel Booking Site?

By Samantha Jul2,2024

Dinogo.com Review claims to be a website for affordable hotel and lodge booking. Many people are unsure if this site is legitimate or a scam. In this review, we’ll explain the red flags, and how to protect yourself.

What is Dinogo.com?

Dinogo.com aka Dinogo portrays itself as an affordable third party site for booking hotels, lodges, flights, etc. The site displays cheaper rates and discounts more than what’s seen on the hotels. They also offer cashback rewards on each booking or flight made on the site or via its app.

Is It Legit or Scam?

Though Dinogo.com seems legitimate, upon investigation the hotel booking site has a bad reputation. It has been called out as a scam by numerous customers. Here are some red flags to consider.

1. Bait & Switch Scam

Majority of the rooms available for booking on Dinogo.com are occupied and get changed the last minute. In some cases, instead of a deluxe room, people are given a single bed room.

2. Fake Discount

Dinogo.com advertises price that are actually not available. When people proceed to make payment, they’re given a different option – all expensive ones and nothing within the price range advertised.

I recently attempted to book a hotel through Dinogo after finding what seemed to be a great price via a Google search. The website indicated that there were three rooms available at this attractive rate, so I proceeded with the booking. However, once I tried to finalize my reservation, I was informed that the rooms had suddenly sold out and the only available options were significantly more expensive. Frustratingly, even after my failed booking attempt, the website still displayed the same hotel with three available rooms at the original low price. This experience felt like classic clickbait and a scam to lure customers in with false promises. I do not recommend using Dinogo for your travel bookings.

3. Discrepancies in Charges

Dinogo shows the price in local currency, but during payment it changes it to dollar, overcharges customers then blame it on currency conversion.

4. No Cancellation or Refunds

Unlike other hotel booking sites, Dinogo.com does not grant cancellation or refund request.

Our Review

Dinogo.com has all the hallmark of an untrustworthy hotel booking site. The great deals advertised by the website are often non-existent and used as a bait to lure unsuspecting people. Customer reviews on TrustPilot.com highlights the following drawbacks; no refunds or cancellation, overcharges, fake discounts offered, and clickbait scam. It’s advised to exercise caution when using dinogo.com.
