The RivalTac mosquito repeller is marketed as a super efficient mosquito repeller sold on buyrivaltac.com. As someone who has been battling with mosquitoes on my porch for sometime now, I decided to give this viral mosquito repeller a trial.
Buyrivaltac.com boasts that RivalTAC has the following features –
- Waterproof
- Has a Strong battery capacity
- Can be used as a power bank to charge mobile devices
- Works as a camping light with 4-level brightness adjustment
- Has a magnetic design which makes it easy to mount.
It is allegedly invented by a U.S army soldier to solve the problem of mosquito bites. The tiny repeller is said to use Dual-Repel™ Heating Technology, creating a protective layer within 40 ft such that mosquitoes and insects of any kind wouldn’t come close. It is said to be perfect for outdoor enthusiasts like backpackers, campers, hunters, and RV users.
RivalTac Mosquito Repellent Review
My order arrived in approximately 18 days. However, upon unboxing, there were no manuals or instructions of how to order more refills. The Rivaltac has a USB-A and USB-C port for charging. When switched on, the battery heats up the repellent wafer that disperses the main ingredient, EPA approved critonella into the air.
To put the RivalTAC to test I used it on my porch swarmed by mosquitoes, the outcome; – Less mosquito bites.
However, when I took it camping, it couldn’t stop mosquitoes from biting me. Within minutes, I had itches and red hives on my exposed arms and legs. This shows the Rivaltac isn’t an effective outdoor mosquito repeller.
Does RivalTAC Mosquito Repeller Work?
Yes it works, but it’s not really as effective as advertised especially when used outdoor where the wind is strong. On the plus side, the RivalTAC has a strong flashlight for camping, and serves as an efficient power bank (4800 mAh battery). On the negative side, the charge doesn’t last long. I tried it on low and high heat without the light and really only get a 2-3 hours of use before it needs to be recharged.
Meanwhile, the manufacturers of this product should consider making create a better return policy. They should also ditch the fake invention story, the false ‘As Seen On’ displayed on buyrivaltac.com and getrivaltac.com. There is no record of RivalTAC mentioned in LAD Bible, Daily Mail, Insider, etc.
Also, the 5 star ratings and reviews on the site are not real. If 2000 customers are indeed satisfied with the device, I know they’d have made reviews of it online.
