The trailer you’ve seen online about Friends Reunited 2025 is not real. A YouTube channel called ScreenCultureOfficial released a video claiming to be a trailer for a new “Friends” movie titled “Friends Reunited: The One With Chandler’s Funeral. But it’s the work of Artificial intelligence aiming to deceive fans, this video has gained more than 187,000 since its release on 30 June 2024.

Months after the tragic passing of Matthew Perry, who starred in the cult-classic show Friends, a trailer for the new FRIENDS Reunited movie was released. Social media users, such as Lisa Chipmunks and Rock Clips 11, took to Facebook to share a screenshot from the trailer. The image shows Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc tearfully gathered around a gravestone that reads “Chandler.” But it’s not real but the work of AI.

The Facebook page responsible for sharing the post, Rock Clips 11, has a track record of posting fake trailers and posters for non-existent movies. This history makes it likely that the FRIENDS Reunited movie is another hoax.

The image shared in the post, showing the remaining Friends cast, shows hands that appear oddly unnatural, casting doubt on its legitimacy. Moreover, the post refers to the project as both a “show” and a “movie,” creating confusion over whether FRIENDS Reunited is a film or a series.
Recycled Footage in the Trailer
Several scenes have been borrowed from other movies and TV shows, including Scream, Joey, and the FRIENDS Reunion special. This reuse of footage adds to the suspicion.
Is The Original Cast Coming Back
None of the original Friends cast members have talked about this project or another project coming up on their social media, which is strange for something new like this. On top of that, no well-known news outlets have covered the supposed movie, making it even more doubtful whether it’s real. The chances of the original Friends cast reuniting for a new show are very low, and it’s doubtful the project will ever happen.
