Stay Away From Holisto.com: They Are Not Honest

By maria Jul10,2024

Holisto is a third party booking agency scamming people by taking their money without any intention of actually booking their hotel stay. They then illegally share the profits with the hotel. We have received lots of complaints from people who have used the services of Holisto and none is encouraging.

Before you book from here’s a little TLDR:

  1.  They have hidden fees that don’t even cover the entire booking.
  2. They don’t have a physical address. They don’t have a 24/7 customer support line.
  3. Also they avoid giving refunds for any issues.

The Truth About Holisto.com Booking Agency

Holisto is basically the middleman between you and the hotel when you book through them. Your contract isn’t directly with the hotel; it’s with Holisto.

They have no physical office, with all employees working remotely from New Delhi. Their scam involves letting hotels cancel bookings while refusing to provide refunds, citing a no refund policy. They lack a customer service number, making it impossible to get help. Their customer service is terrible. It is better you stay away from them.

My Disappointing Experience

They are a horrible company. They’ll take your money and either give you the wrong room, cancel your booking at the last minute, or do everything except give you the room you paid for.

Their customer support is terrible. They say they can’t help and need to pass issues to teams that don’t answer the phone and keep denying everything. When I asked for a supervisor (who wasn’t helpful anyway), I was told they weren’t available but then suddenly they were.

Is Holisto A Scam: My Opinion

They are a fraudulent third party website. At first, they appear legit but from the reviews I came across on Reddit, I’ve come to the conclusion that they are not. Some of the complaints include:

Yeah, they just ripped us off for almost $600 for a hotel stay they incorrectly booked. Never sent us a confirmation. We only discovered it when we got the bill two weeks before we were to show up in Charleston, S.C. We were marked at ‘no-shows.’ Then we had to re-book at a much higher rate – Easter weekend! So, add another $200. Incompetents, thieves, scammers!

I paid for a hotel (via Holisto) through visa debit -I show up at checkin and hotel turns me away because they don’t accept visa debit -I am not offered a refund and told to call Holisto -I call Holisto but they don’t have a working number -I ended up going to another hotel late at nite and sent emails to Holisto -they responded 3 days later saying it’s up to the hotel and there is a no refund policy -I continue with Holisto and they then start looking for ways to deny so they say … “no refund policy

Do We Recommend Holisto.com

No we do not recommend their services. If you fall victim, do not wait for a refund just go to your bank and explain the situation to them and they will give you a refund. My advice is not to use third party websites at all.
