I Bought The Earth Brite All Purpose Cleaner – Here’s My Honest Review

By Nora Jan3,2025

I saw Earth Brite advertised on TV during a commercial break and was intrigued, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.

Overview Of Earth Brite All Purpose Cleaner

Earth Brite is a cleaning product made from 100% white clay. The manufacturer claims it is a natural, eco-friendly alternative to traditional cleaning products. Earth Brite is said to be biodegradable, non-toxic, and free of artificial fragrances, dyes, and preservatives. According to the ads, it can be used on various surfaces, including countertops, sinks, stoves, and mirrors.

My Experience Using Earth Brite

I was initially excited to try Earth Brite, but my experience was extremely disappointing. I had high hopes for this product, especially since I was looking for a clay cleaning product to replace my old favorite that is no longer available.

However, Earth Brite failed to deliver. The product’s design and packaging were major letdowns. Instead of being a paste, Earth Brite is a powder that’s identical to Bar Keepers Friend. The powder also spills out of the container when you open it, making a mess. It also crumbles in the container and doesn’t stay sudsy enough to wipe down surfaces.

The performance of Earth Brite was equally disappointing. It didn’t clean effectively and left a soapy and slimy residue on every surface. I tried using it on my stainless steel sink, but there was no difference whatsoever – no shine, no cleanliness, no nothing. As if to make matters worse, the product has an unpleasant smell, reminiscent of citronella mosquito repellent. The advertised sponge was also nowhere to be found.

Pros

  • Made from 100% natural white clay
  • Eco-friendly alternative to traditional cleaning products

What I HATED About This Product

  • Not a paste, but a powder that makes a mess
  • Doesn’t work on stainless steel surfaces
  • Less effective on tougher stains
  • Doesn’t work well on porous surfaces

Features Of The Earth Brite Clay Cleaner

  • Made from 100% natural white clay
  • Tough on grime and stains
  • Gentle on surfaces
  • Eco-friendly
  • Biodegradable

How Much is it Sold For?

The price of Earth Brite varies depending on the retailer and location. On average, it’s sold for around $10-$40.

Is it Worth it?

Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend Earth Brite. It’s a poorly designed product that doesn’t deliver on its promises.

Alternatives

If you’re looking for a reliable and eco-friendly cleaning product, there are many other options available. Some popular alternatives include:

  • Dr. Bronner’s
  • Seventh Generation
  • Ecover
  • Method

Conclusion

In conclusion, my experience with Earth Brite was extremely disappointing. Despite its promising claims, the product failed to deliver on its cleaning promises, had a poor design, and came with misleading advertising. Earth Brite is only suitable for lightweight cleaning tasks, and its effectiveness is nowhere near what the ads claim.
