I Tried the Yoga-Go App – Here’s Why I Don’t Recommend It!

By Nora Apr14,2025

I was intruiged by the Yoga-Go for its promise of personalized yoga routines that fit into a busy lifestyle. The app seemed to offer a convenient way to practice yoga at home, with tailored sessions based on individual goals. However, my experience was far from satisfactory.

What Is the Yoga-Go App?

Yoga-Go is a mobile application that provides yoga, Pilates, and stretching exercises. It claims to offer personalized workout plans, catering to various fitness levels and objectives. The app includes a library of routines and poses, aiming to make home workouts accessible and effective.

Why I Decided to Try It

With a hectic schedule, I was looking for a flexible way to incorporate yoga into my daily routine. Yoga-Go’s personalized plans and the convenience of practicing at home appealed to me. The app’s high ratings on app stores further influenced my decision to give it a try.

My Experience Using the Yoga-Go App

Initially, the app’s interface was user-friendly, and setting up my profile was straightforward. The workout sessions were easy to follow, and I appreciated the variety in routines. However, I soon encountered several issues that overshadowed these positives.

Firstly, the app required an upfront subscription without offering a free trial, which felt like a red flag. After subscribing, I noticed that the workouts lacked progression and became repetitive over time. More concerning were the billing issues as I was charged more than expected, and attempts to contact customer service were met with silence.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • User-friendly interface
  • Variety of yoga routines

Cons:

  • No free trial; immediate subscription required
  • Repetitive workouts with limited progression
  • Unclear billing practices and unexpected charges
  • Unresponsive customer service

Is the Yoga-Go App Worth It?

At first glance, the Yoga-Go app seems like a great idea: personalized yoga workouts, guided routines, and no need to leave your living room. But after digging into real user experiences and trying it myself, I can say the reality doesn’t always match the glossy promises.

The good: The app does offer a decent library of yoga and stretching sessions. The interface is simple enough, and the guided voice instructions can be helpful for beginners. If you’re someone who just wants to follow along without thinking too much about form or flow, you might appreciate the structure.

But here’s where things get murky. The subscription pricing is vague at best, and a lot of users (myself included) have run into auto-renewal issues. Cancelling isn’t as intuitive as it should be, and customer service? Pretty hit or miss.

On top of that, the app tends to push the “personalized plan” angle hard, but in reality, it felt like I was getting the same sequences over and over with minor tweaks. Not exactly the tailored experience I was hoping for.

What Other Users Are Saying

My experience aligns with numerous reviews on Trustpilot, where the app has a low rating of 1.6 out of 5 stars. The most common complaints include unexpected charges, difficulties in canceling subscriptions, and unresponsive customer support. Some users also reported that the app continued to charge them even after cancellation attempts.

Conclusion: Would I Recommend It?

Based on my experience and the overwhelming negative feedback from other users, I cannot recommend the Yoga-Go app. While it offers a range of yoga routines, the lack of transparency in billing, absence of a free trial, and poor customer support are significant drawbacks. For those seeking a reliable and user-friendly yoga app, exploring other options would be advisable.
