Is Dr Pepper French Vanilla Real or Fake?

By Samantha Dec4,2024

The picture of the Dr Pepper Frosted French Vanilla is fake, not real! Don’t let the picture making rounds online trick you. It’s an AI generated image, not a real new Frosted French vanilla flavour from Dr Pepper. The picture was first posted on Facebook by Janelle Fox and has been shared more than 30,000 times since then.

Why It’s Fake

A close look at the image show a lot of inconsistencies peculiar with AI generated images.

First of all, a close look at the words written on the can’s body shows the word ‘holiday’ was mispelt as ‘holliday’ (double B). This mistake is pretty obvious and can’t be neglected by a reputable brand like Dr Pepper.

Secondly, the image wasn’t posted (and hasn’t been posted) on Dr Pepper’s social media pages, neither has the brand said anything about a new flavor.

The Real Truth About The Dr Pepper Frosted French Vanilla

The Dr Pepper Frosted French Vanilla is a fake news that started after a Facebook user posted an image generated with AI. She created the image due to her love for Dr Pepper drink. The post went viral and has been shared on different social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, e.t.c

While a lot of people are excited about the idea, Dr Pepper hasn’t announced any new vanilla flavor.
