Is Galvado Sydney a Legit Clothing Store? Find Out!

By Samantha Sep14,2024

Do you want to buy dresses, shirts or trousers from galvado-sydney.com? Are you wondering if it is a legit online store that delivers quality clothing? Well, the short answer is NO. This review exposes why Galvado Sydney isn’t a trustworthy online store to shop from

Galvado-sydney.com Review

Galvado-Sydney has an ongoing 50% off winter sale which is promoted on Facebook, Instagram, e.t.c. The store claims the brand was established in 2018 and offers premium wears for both women and men.

Putting their words to test, I decided to purchase shoes advertised as orthopaedic for $64.99AUD. I placed my order on the 4th August 2024, received tracking info which showed it was being shipped from China.

14 days later, the shoes arrived my local post office. It was definitely not orthopaedic. It had nasty construction, glue stuck on the bottom, and smelt awfully.

Exposing Its Bait & Switch Scam

Galvado Sydney creates the impression that it’s a clothing brand based in Sydney Australia whereas it’s located in China. The products advertised on their store are not originally theirs. The store steals off images from reputable designers, pass them off as theirs, and then make cheap imitations. Once orders are placed, the online store delivers items that are different from what is displayed on its website. This is a classic example of bait and switch scam.

Customers who shop from galvado-sydney.com receive items that are below par, of poor quality, wrong size, texture or design.

Galvado-sydney Drawbacks

Poor Customer Service

The only way to contact the store is through the email [email protected] which seems to be not working. Mails sent to the email address were not replied timely. The waiting time was almost 24hrs before feedback.

Terrible Returns Policy

Galvado-sydney.com return policy isn’t favorable to customers. They only accept returns if the items are still in the package it came in. Also, there’s no return label. Unsatisfied customers have to pay exorbitant return shipping cost to the warehouse in China.

Deceptive Discount

The discount on the quality of clothes displayed on the site is indeed too good to be true. It’s a bait to make people lower their guards. In reality, the quality manufactured and delivered is far below what is shown on the website.

Bad Reputation

There are lots of negative reviews and scam warnings about Galvado Sydney online. Scam detecting softwares have also rated the store a poor 1% which indicates low trustworthiness.

Recently Launched

galvado-sydney.com was registered on August 2024 and expires on August 2025. Whoever is behind the website do not have any long time plan. This is typical of online shopping scams. Fraudsters set up newly registered websites, rip people off, shut down the website and set up another website. By so doing, they are able to remain undetected.

What To Do If You Fell For This Clothing Scam

If you haven’t received the product yet, contact the store immediately to cancel order before it is shipped out. If it doesn’t work out, here’s what to do;

  • Request a chargeback if you’ve used a credit card .
  • If you used PayPal, contact their customer support right away and provide any receipts or proof of purchase.
  • Contact your bank immediately if you paid via wire transfer or electronic funds transfer.
  • Report the seller to the Federal Trade Commission at www.ReportFraud.ftc.gov. The FTC advises reporting a business if you even suspect fraud. Each report filed can make a difference in preventing future scams.
  • File with your state attorney general or local consumer protection agency. Share what personal information you gave to the seller.

How To Protect Yourself From Online Shopping Scams

  • Check how long the website has been functioning – The domain age of a website tells a lot about a store’s legitimacy or transparency. Websites below 6 months old are often considered unsafe. You can find out a website’s age by checking on Who.is ( a free domain checker tool)
  • When using retail websites, find out exactly who you are dealing with. Research the retailer address by copying and pasting it on your browser. Does it really exist? is the retailer registered in the address or is the address that of a family home?
  • When making online payments, use secure payment service. Look for a URL starting with “https” and a closed padlock symbol, or a payment provider such as PayPal. If the padlock symbol doesn’t appear near the website’s URL, then it means your personal and financial information is at risk at the store.
  • Avoid Too Good to be true Discounts – any product sold at very cheap prices compared to other online stores should be treated with caution. Low prices are baits scammers use to lure unsuspecting victims
  • Check for reviews Online – Are there reviews or posts about the online store online? By searching for reviews online you could also come across warning posts or complaints.
