Have you heard about the Aira Breeze Air Cooler and want to buy it, but you aren’t sure if it works as much as the brand ads claim? Well, I recently bought it from Airabreeze.shop for $60 about three weeks ago. In this review I’ll share my experience, its performance, if it lived up to my expectation and give my candid opinion of this product.
All you need to know about the Aira Breeze Air Cooler
I came across an ad on Facebook about the Aira Breeze Air Cooler and it was advertised as a portable and easy to carry device that makes use of water for its cooling functions. This product also claimed to reduce electricity cost by 60% and as someone who has to be frugal to avoid blowing my whole paycheck on electricity bills due to my constant need for heat, I jumped on this.
More so, they were offering a whopping 50% discount on the product so why not? What could possibly go wrong, I said. Well, everything that could go wrong went wrong!
This product is nothing but an elaborate drop-shipping scam and I’m not proud to say I fell for it. You shouldn’t waste your money or time on it as I did. Experience isn’t always the best teacher, learn from my mistakes.
Red flags you shouldn’t Ignore
Terrible cooling performance: This product was really disappointing as it failed to perform its core function. This product fell far short of my expectation. It works more as a small cooling fan that has to directly be in contact with your skin to have any effect.
Safety Issues: After a prolonged use, i started perceiving an overheating/burning smell that made me worried. I can’t trust that this product will be safe around young children. It is also quite loud which is quite contrary to how it was advertised.
Deceptive marketing: This product is marketed with dramatically exaggerated claims that don’t match the actual performance, using high-pressure tactics to attract customers. Do not fall for this!
No reviews: There were no reviews on this product. I couldn’t find a single review about this product or the brand. Not on their website, TrustPilot, Amazon or any other app.
New website: This website was created about 5 months ago. While this isn’t an outright red flag, I should have researched more before giving them my money. The fact that they were still a new brand but already offering a 50% should have been another reason to smell the scam.
No contact information: I only noticed this after I already made payment. I wanted to reach out to them to find out my shipping details, but I couldn’t find a phone number or an actual address. There was an email address but no live-chat option and all I could do was send an email that was never replied to and wait in batted breath.
No social media presence: This brand has no social media presence as I was unable to find them on any platform whatsoever. A brand without any social media.
Generic images: While waiting for my product, I did a reverse image search and found out that the images of their website were the same with other brands and also on Aliexpress where it was sold for much cheaper.
What to do if you got scammed
If you’re like me and you already got this product without proper research, then you should equally follow the steps I took:
Contact your bank: Contact your bank or credit card company immediately to cancel your card. Request for a charge back on the grounds of fraud.
Check credit reports: Request credit reports to check for any accounts opened fraudulently using your information. Consider placing a credit freeze if advised.
File a complaint: File a complaint to the BBB [Better Business Bureau]. You should also provide all relevant records.
Reviews: Leave online reviews and also inform your family and friends to stop other people from falling victim to the same scam.
Conclusion
With all I’ve said above, I’m sure we have all come to the same conclusion about the Aira Breeze Air Cooler. It is a bait-and-switch scam and should be avoided. Their lack of a reviews, subpar product quality, absence of a verified company addresses or background information, raises concerns about their legitimacy. If you’re still interested in buying this product, I recommend buying it from other store like Aliexpress where it is price at $5-$15 as opposed to the very steep $60 sold by Airabreeze.shop. The products are the same both in functionality and durability, so I see no reason buying it at an expensive price.
