Is Winston Vs Peacock Settlement email a Scam?

By Samantha Nov2,2024

The Winston Vs Peacock email with a link to www.carenewalsettlementpeacocktv.com is legit. It’s not a phishing scam as you feared. The email that asks you to submit a claim form in order to benefit from a proposed class action Settlement was sent out to everyone who owns a Peacock TV account.

Whats the Winston Vs Peacock Class Action Settlement About?

The class action alleges that Peacock automatically renewed its video streaming subscription offerings and charged customers’ payment methods without providing the disclosures and authorizations required by California law.

Though Peacock denies the claim, the parties (Winston & Peacock) have agreed to a proposed settlement amount. To receive a payment, Peacock TV subscribers in California must submit a timely and complete Claim Form by mail or online, postmarked or submitted no later than November 13, 2024.

How Much Payout Should You Expect?

The settlement will pay approximately $18.33 per person. Payment will come by check or the payment method you choose (such as a digital MasterCard, PayPal, or Venmo).
