Libiyi Cooling Ace Review: Legit or Scam? What You Should Know

By Samantha Jun20,2024

This summer the internet is flooded with lots of devices advertised as portable air conditioners. The Libiyi Cooling Ace is one of such devices marketed as a personal cooling device. Sold for $65.99 it is said to be an affordable alternative to traditional air conditioners.

Overview of Libiyi Cooling Ace

Libiyi Cooling Ace is marketed on the internet as a desktop portable tower fan that uses 40% less energy than regular cooler. It’s said to be portable, affordable, rechargeable, and cools the room instantly, saving you money on electric bills.

Features

  • Energy-Efficient: saves up to 40% more energy than other products, translating to significant savings on electricity bills.
  • Customizable Cooling: Ha three different modes with which you can tailor the cooling experience to suit your preferences.
  • Compact Design: Can be placed horizontally or vertically on a desk or wall-mounted. Easily adapts to your space.

Does Libiyi Cooling Ace Work?

Yes, it works. However, it’s not as efficient as advertised. Libiyi Cooling Ace only cools the area surrounding the place it is placed and not the entire room. It’s an ideal personal cooling fan for your workspace and table.

Is It a Scam?

I wouldn’t call the Libiyi Cooling Ace a scam perse, but it’s certainly sold with deceptive marketing. Firstly, the websites selling this device claims it’s manufactured in USA but it’s actually made in China and that is where it is shipped from.

Secondly, the 50% discount offered is just a marketing strategy. Libiyi Cooling Ace is not valued at $199 as  $199.98 as claimed, even the discount price of $99.99 is pretty much very expensive. This exact desktop table is sold for between $19 – $30 on Aliexpress.com, Alibaba.com, and even on Walmart.com.

Thirdly, the money back guarantee offered is just a hoax. Once orders are placed in the numerous sites selling this product, getting a refund is very difficult. Customers are either told to keep the defective device and get 20% of their money or pay expensive shipping costs to China.

Precaution

  • Libiyi Cooling Ace is sold on various websites, and some of them are not reliable. It’s important to research online before purchasing from the sites.

TIPS: Search for reviews online using the word ‘scam’ ‘legit’ ‘complaints’ attached to the website’s name. Be wary of sites that display only five star reviews as they are likely fake. You could also check how long the website has been operating by using Who.is (a website checker tool) You only need to write the site’s name on Who.is search bar and it’d disclose all the information about the site.

  • This product battery capacity might not be up to 2000mAh. Its performance can vary based on how long it’s used.

TIP: Plug directly to power outlet if you’re using it for up to 10hrs at a stretch.
