Is Little Tikes Ankle Monitor Real or Fake?

By maria Aug7,2024

The little tikes ankle monitor also called my first ankle monitor on TikTok is not real but fake. This idea was created by legbootlegit together with @shampoooty on Instagram, who has a series called Kids Toys.

The video shows a toy that looks like an electronic tag used on criminals, but it’s made for kids and can be bought at a regular store.

The Little Times Ankle Monitor

On August 1, 2023, the TikTok account legbootlegit posted a video that has since been viewed over 30 million times. The video features what appears to be an ankle monitor for children. It shows someone picking up the item, styled like a Little Tikes product with its Logo, from a store shelf. But it’s not.

This is not the first video made by this same user few months ago, LegBootLegit posted a video showing a fake trophy that supposedly Google gives to people who search for a term for the first time ever. Also the “Little Yikes” branding have been used on other fake toys before, like a “Cute Lil’ Terror Tots Figure.” The box for this toy includes the quote: “I will hunt you down in your nightmares and feast upon your terror.”

Signs of the Fake Child Ankle Monitor

There are several signs that show the child ankle monitor is a joke. First, the brand name on the box is “Little Yikes,” which is a funny take on the well-known “Little Tikes.” This name hints that it’s not a real product.

The writing on the box gives more clues. Phrases like “Prepare your mini me for its future house arrests” and “Make sure that little snot stays in its room!” are meant to be funny. Plus, the box mentions a “See back panel for exclusive parole officer discount offer,” which shows it’s not serious.

Lastly, the product looks real because of the professional branding, photos, filming, and voiceover. But when you notice all these funny details together, it’s clear that the product is just a joke.
