I came across the Mason Genie Vacuum Seal on Masongenie.com sold for $59.99, bought it, and I have had it for a month now. Is worth the price? Here’s my honest review.

- Close the lid and ensure the valve is set to “Vacuum”.
- Press the “Start” button to begin the vacuum sealing process.
- The sealer will remove air from the container, creating a vacuum seal.

- Remove the container and store it in the refrigerator, freezer, or pantry.
Testing Mason Genie Vacuum Seal
The Mason Genie Vacuum sealed my jars but it sadly didn’t last long. Couple of days later, they popped open. Meanwhile, my charger always says 94% and never a 100% and this had led me to believe that it never fully seals. This may be a reason why it keeps popping up after just a few days.
Lest I forget, from the get-go, the only lid size that worked was the biggest ones. The smaller ones frustrated me every single time and I had to eventually give up on them. I also noticed It got harder to use after sealing less than 30 jars, and I had to use more muscle each time and most times it just didn’t work. At a certain point it just got stuck on a jar and wouldn’t just come off.
What I LOVE About This Jar Sealer
- The compact size that will fit in the top drawer in the kitchen for easy access
- Has both regular and wide mouth types, so no switching out pieces to seal the two sizes of lids!
Features
- Has an advanced HEPA filter that removes dust particles and allergens.
- It is rechargeable
- It has a 5 x Regular Mouth Lids.
- It has 5 x Wide Mouth Lids
Should You Buy This?
Mason Genie Vacuum failed to meet my expectations. For a price tag of almost $60, I expected an effective jar sealer not a flimsy product. If you’re considering buying this vacuum seal, I’d advise you check and compare the Jar sealers below.
