By maria Jul17,2024

Ads for NovaWave keeps popping up on YouTube, claiming it’s a TV Antenna that offers free HDTV channels. If you’re considering giving Novawave a test, here’s a breakdown what you should know;

The Truth on Novawave Tv Antenna

Novawaveofficial.com claims the device allows free access to Broadcast HDTV shows, sitcoms, election news, sporting events, local news programs, etc. Novawave is just a digital antenna that can only access your local broadcast networks, like your local channels, and that it dependent on where you place the antenna, and how strong the signal is. Novawave doesn’t have access to ESPN, FoxSports1, etc. You can’t access those channels without cable subscription.

Fake Invention Story

The YouTube commercial claims it was invented by a NASA scientist, and it can decrypt ESPN, FoxSports1, HBO, TBS, TCM, etc. However, there’s no information online about such invention, neither does the website provide any technical detail about the invention. Moreover, if such a device exist, it wouldn’t be legal.

Deceptive Advertising & Marketing Gimmicks

What the sellers of this product had simply done is over-exaggerate the functions and qualities of this device. This is what is called deceptive marketing. Then they use fake countdown timers and false limited offer tags to create a sense of urgency.

In reality, the 50% discount is totally false. Digital antennas of same specs cost between $10 – $35 not the $99 original price displayed on novawaveofficial.com. Even the discounted price of $49.99 is still exorbitant.

Fake Money Back Guarantee

The 30 days money back guarantee displayed on novawaveofficial.com isn’t real. There’s no refund policy page backing up the promise. In fact, this is quite disturbing. Why are there no legal pages aside the order and checkout page

Reviews And Complaints

Those who bought the Novawave back in 2022 and 2023 were unsatisfied with their purchase. Lots of them left complaints which can be found on Amazon and Reddit. The few we gathered include

Just got the antenna ,this is a fraudulent junk. I m looking for my attorney . It wiped out 9 of my channels. Sick of fake thing just to steel my money.

Meanwhile, the reviews displayed on the official site are fake. Reverse image search showed the exact images have been used by other brands.

Our Review

Based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s pretty clear the Novawave TV Antenna isn’t a legit product to buy. Aside from not working as advertised, buying this product exposes you to the following scams;

  • unauthorized charges on credit cards (the websites often pad customers bill and charge for items not ordered)
  • Automatic VIP membership subscription – Some dubious online stores often add customers into a subscription plan without their notice. Victims get charged a monthly subscription fee for unwanted items such as online health magazines, keto pills, etc.
  • No delivery of item or delivery of inferior product
  • Zero feedback from the company
