This jeep is currently sold by an online store called Thatnovastore.com and other fake third-party online stores that will probably take your money and disappear. The websites are advertising a gasoline-powered mini-Jeep that usually costs around $3,000 for just $99-$100 on their website. Don’t fall for this scam!

We first came across this mini jeep scam on Reddit after a customer posted it and we decided to carry out investigation. We discovered that lots of people have fallen victim of this scam already. Thatnovastore.com have already been flagged as a scam online store and should be avoided at all costs.

Here’s how the nova mini jeep scam works: You pay $99 for a massimo mini jeep, but then you get hit with an additional $150 charge from a different company name. Your bank finds out that both charges are actually from the same scam company using different names to trick you into paying more.

Red Flags That Stand Out

First of all the website Thatnovastore.com was created recently is only registered for one year, until June 2025. It’s also a red flag that their contact information is hidden. The site says it’s hosted in Canada, but that’s probably just to hide its real location.

Secondly It’s impossible to buy a toy car big enough for an adult to drive for just $99. If you decide to order this mini hero you might end up getting nothing or receiving something completely different from the ad shown.

On genuine websites where such products are sold, we found this jeep to be sold for $1800 which is a far cry from the $99 advertised in the ads.

Report the Fraud To Relevant Authorities

Report the scam to relevant authorities and organizations. This includes:

  • Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3): If you are in the United States, you can file a complaint with the IC3 at https://www.ic3.gov/.
  • Your Local Consumer Protection Agency: Contact your local consumer protection agency or the equivalent regulatory body in your country.
  • Better Business Bureau (BBB): File a complaint with the BBB if the online store is based in the United States.
