Yoyocats Reviews: Is Yoyocats.com Legit? My Findings

By Samantha Nov3,2024

I found Yoyocats elf kit while browsing on Facebook. Sold out on Amazon.com, the elf kit has a sale price of $29.99 on Yoyocats.com. Curious, I decided to investigate the store before placing an order. Below, I reveal my findings; Why the deal sucks.

What is Yoyocats.com?

Yoyocats.com is an online store that sells holiday items and gifts for discount price. The store is trending due to its $29 elf kit, 24-Day Christmas Advent Calendar Taylor Swift, e.t.c. Though the low prices look like a great bargain, the online store has some red flags which you should know;

My Findings on Yoyocats.com – Why I Don’t Recommend

Incomplete Package

Yoyocats Ads for 2024 Elf Kit (12 Days or 24 Days) are deceptive. The video shows a large box which is supposed to be a package for each day for your elf on the shelf with something fun for them to be doing. There’s just a bunch of random crap thrown in the box half, of the stuff doesn’t correlate with what it says it should be, and there’s only a few pieces for some of the stuff.

Questionable Quality

The quality isn’t as great or strong as shown on the Ads. It would maybe work with toddlers or very little kids, but not suitable for adults. There’s some spelling and grammar issues and some things that don’t exactly make sense.

Overpriced

The exact elf kit sold on Yoyocats.com for $29 goes for a lesser price on Amazon.com. For $9 I could get an elf kit with better quality. I found this particular one on Amazon.com (Ad)

Owned by a Suspicious Company

Yoyocats.com is part of a huge network of scammers in China, nicknamed the ‘Uniqueness ring’. This name is due to the fact they use the same awful 2018 era dropshipping site template, and the ‘about us’ page has a bullshit phrase in the intro about ‘uniqueness’.

The websites run all sorts of ads. They even run ads to AliExpress junk, like other dropshippers. Then they scam customers by sending random low-quality products.

Might Shut Down Anytime

Yoyocats.com was launched again in October 2024 and would expire in October 2025. This indicates the website was created for a short term plan. Reputable websites typically register domains for multiple years, indicating stability and a commitment to their business.

Limited Communication Options

Despite targeting U.S. customers, Yoyocats.com provides only an email ‘[email protected]‘ no telephone number or walk-in store address. This makes it difficult for customers to verify the company’s legitimacy.

Is Yoyocats.Com Legit or Scam Store?

My findings indicate Yoyocats .com isn’t a legitimate online store to shop from. Customers could get scammed either by delivery of inferior products or unauthorized credit card charges. This is typical of online shopping scams.

What To Do If You Got Scammed

Cancel your credit card

Immediately call your financial provider and cancel your credit card. By so doing, the credit card details you used for your transaction would become null and wouldn’t be charged in the future by the store.

Request for a new card

After the old credit card has been cancelled, ask for a new card, it doesn’t cost much to get one.Your credit card issuer will issue you a new one with different numbers.

Report the Fraud To Relevant Authorities

Report the scam to relevant authorities and organizations. This includes:

  • Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3): If you are in the United States, you can file a complaint with the IC3 at https://www.ic3.gov/.
  • Your Local Consumer Protection Agency: Contact your local consumer protection agency or the equivalent regulatory body in your country.
  • Better Business Bureau (BBB): File a complaint with the BBB if the online store is based in the United States.
